GIỚI THIỆU TỈNH DÒNG THÁNH PHAOLÔ - ẤN ĐỘ

Sứ mạng của tu sĩ Thừa Sai Đức Tin ở Ấn Độ bắt đầu với sứ mạng của bốn linh mục, sau khi hoàn thành chương trình thần học ở Ý, các ngài trở về và xây dựng một nền móng vững chắc cho Dòng Thừa Sai Đức Tin tại Ấn Độ.

Ngày 25.10.1989, Đức Cha John MULAGADA, Giám mục giáo phận Eluru đã viết thư, chào đón các anh em Thừa Sai Đức Tin đầu tiên hiện diện trong giáo phận của ngài, bao gồm: Cha Chacko MUTHOOTTIL, M.F., Cha Kuriakose NADOOPARAMBIL, M.F., Cha Joseph PATHIYIL, M.F., và Cha Maria Joji RAI, M.F.. Như vậy, cộng đoàn Thừa Sai Đức Tin đầu tiên đã được thành lập tại Eluru, Ấn Độ.

Vào ngày 15.08.1990, Cha Maria Joji RAI, M.F., đã được bổ nhiệm làm bề trên cộng đoàn và trụ sở cộng đoàn Đền thánh Đức Mẹ Allipalli, được đặt tại Giáo phận Eluru, Andhra Pradesh.

Ngày 25.03.2003, cộng đoàn này được nâng lên thành Tỉnh dòng. Sau 26 năm hiện diện, Tỉnh Dòng Ấn Độ đã được tách ra thành 2 Tỉnh Dòng để thuận tiện cho việc quản lý và phát triển, đó là Tỉnh dòng Thánh Phaolô và Tỉnh dòng Thánh Phêrô. Hai Tỉnh dòng này được thành lập vào ngày 29.06.2015 nhân dịp lễ Thánh Tông đồ Phêrô và Phaolô.

Địa hạt của Tỉnh dòng Thánh Phaolô bao gồm hai tiểu bang của Ấn Độ là Kerala và Tamil Nadu, và điểm sứ vụ ở Arunachal Pradesh

Các thành viên khấn trọn đời của Tỉnh Dòng Phaolô (Ấn Độ) bao gồm 31 linh mục. Ngoài ra còn có 31 thành viên đang trong các giai đoạn đào tạo khác nhau từ Thỉnh sinh, Tập viện cho tới Học viện.

Tỉnh dòng này có 5 cộng đoàn giáo xứ và các cộng đoàn trực thuộc Tỉnh dòng gồm: hai cơ sở đào tạo, một trường học và một cô nhi viện.

Sau thời gian huấn luyện riêng biệt tại tập viện, hai Tỉnh dòng sẽ huấn luyện các thành viên chung với nhau.

The Bishop of the Diocese of Eluru, HE Msgr. John MULAGADA, with the letter of 25 October 1989, welcomed the first Missionaries of the Faith in his diocese: Fr. Chacko MUTHOOTTIL, Fr. Kuriakose NADOOPARAMBIL, Fr. Joseph PATHIYIL, and Fr. Maria Joji RAI. Thus, the first community of the Missionaries of the Faith in Eluru, India. On 15 August 1990, Fr. Maria Joji RAI, Superior of the Missionaries of the Faith in India, was appointed, based in the Shrine of Our Lady of Allipalli, Diocese of Eluru, Andhra Pradesh.  

The Mission of India was elevated as a Province on March 25, 2003. After 26 years of existence, it was time to divide the one Province of India into two Provinces, the Province of St. Paul and the Province of St. Peter, to better administer the Congregation in its growth process. The two Provinces were erected on 29 June 2015 on the occasion of the feast of SS. Apostles Peter and Paul.

The Province of St. Paul, as a  territory, consists of two Indian states, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and the Mission in Arunachal Pradesh

The permanent members of this Province are 22 priests. There are also 39 seminarians in the various stages of formation before the novitiate.

The communities annexed to the parishes in this province are 5. The other communities annexed to the institutions belonging to this province are: two formation houses, a school and a shelter for children.

The formation of the members of the two Provinces from the moment of the novitiate onwards will be in common.
